Emotionally Eating.

Yesterday did not start off well, the tarp that is my roof was rustling in the wind all night and kept me up. My body auto alarm keeps having me get up at 4:12am despite my very best efforts to sleep in a bit. I got up and made coffee and decided to take a leisurely shower and get dressed before making breakfast.

I am still not feeling like myself, my boobs look alien to me. They are not pretty and still have bloodied bandages on them, the soreness is constant and there have been moments when I was like 'what the hell have I done to myself'. I know the end result will be great, but being patient during healing and pain is not always easy. I miss the gym already, I miss sleeping on my stomach, and I miss not being in pain. In some ways this was easier than I expected and in some ways it's not. I would say within 3 days I could resume most normal activities, but verdict is still out on how long it takes to feel like yourself again.

We are on construction day 2 and the foreman informed me the power would be going on and off for most of the day. Ok, that makes it a little difficult it to get work done for both Oliver and I, but we managed. Aiden had turn the corner, the Terrible 2's are upon us in FULL FORCE people. My sweet child has been replaced overnight with a crying and more crying little baldish kid.  The moment he came home from school he threw a fit for about 30 minutes because all he wants is to be outside watching the crew working on the house, but he can't because they throw all kinds of things off the roof while they work.

Then the weather took a turn for the worse, the clouds got dark and rain was a very real possibility. I was informed that I had to clean out my entire master closet and laundry room because if it rained there was a threat of everything getting ruined. Awesome. I spent the next few hours moving everything {with my MIL help!} to the rest of the house, so now my house looks like a disaster zone.

I'm not OCD by any means, but clutter and piles literally drive me batty. I have the overwhelming desire to get rid of so many things. I realized Aiden was being too quiet and I find him like this.....

I can't bend over very well to clean them up so I get my Dyson, of course it gets clogged and I have a moment of meltdown. There was screaming.

The oven has no power and my house is a mess, so I decided to take the kids to Chick Fil A for dinner and Target for dessert.  Chick Fil A was a madhouse, but all I cared about was that I didn't have to shove Aiden in a highchair and Madison got to play with the other kids for a while. I had the Grilled Chicken Sandwich on Wheat with a side of grilled nuggets.

The night started to improve for me, so we went to Target to walk around until Oliver was done working.

We always have to look at shoes for her, she's dying for a pair of high tops, but I can never find cute ones in her size :( I bought a few soft bras, some new pjs for Madison, and the highlight of our trip.....

We found the Holiday Boom Chicka Pop!!!! Literally made my night!!! I will say they are both DANGEROUSLY  good so beware.

We came home much more relaxed than when we left, even finding out we had no hot water and the dryer had no power didn't even phase me. I made a bowl to finish off my macros - 1 protein brownie, 1 serving caramel ice cream - .5 serving Hot coco Pop. I love flexible dieting, I can emotionally eat and still stay on track!

  1. OMG I feel you. 2 months ago I broke my ankle. I'm still not weight bearing. I miss the gym. I miss my life. I can't drive for another two months and won't be walking until late next month. My house is a mess. My elderly dog has begun just peeing where he pleases and I am so damn tired of being in pain.

But that Boom Chicha Pop might just make my day. If someone can take me to Target.

  2. I totally feel your pain with Aiden wanting to be outside. My husband is building a new garage and my 2.5 year old LOVES to be outside with him, but with them using a lift to finish the ceiling a roof, he just can't be out there. It is a constant battle every.single.weekend when they work on it.

  3. sweet baby jesus you've got a lot going on at once! You handle it so gracefully. I get two invites on the same weekend and I feel overwhelmed and want to sit on my couch drinking boxed wine by myself.
