Boob's and Tummy Tucks

After I had Aiden I set a goal of getting back to prepregnancy weight by my 34th birthday in March {2015} and rewarding my hard work with a boob lift, I saved my penny's all year long in anticipation. Well March came and we really needed a new lawn mower so I gave up some of my penny's for that and pushed out getting my breasts fixed, then we had our little tax screw up, then it was summer vacation time, etc. You get the picture, they just kept getting pushed back. Well the time has come and we are ready to take the plunge, I called a friends of mines doctor for a consult.

Remember years ago when I did a post on my extra skin, well I took some updated photos and despite my weight training it's still there and maybe a tad better, but nothing drastic. Skin is skin and while you can lose fat with diet and exercise you can't lose skin. Going into my appointment yesterday I was ONLY going in to talk about fixing my breasts, they are actually smaller than ever, but it literally HURTS to not wear a bra - I ALWAYS have one on even when I sleep, the pulling of the skin on my chest is painful otherwise. Well while he was measuring them I thought it couldn't hurt to at least ask about my stomach - in the back of my mind I was hoping he would say 'oh yeah we can just take off this fold over your csection no biggie' LOL

He told me I had good muscle underneath, very little fat, and if I just pulled that extra skin off I could be CHISELED. Y'all, he said the magic word, not skinny, not flat, chiseled. Oliver said my eyes lit up like a Christmas tree LOL. So the doctor said he'd give me two quotes - one for boobs and one for both. Oliver is not 100% on board with the idea, not because he doesn't think I deserve it, but he doesn't think it's really what I'm looking for - after about an hour of mulling it over I have to agree. I personally love a bit of a softer more feminine look to my stomach, while chiseled sounds nice I'm not so sure that would be my outcome. Plus I'm not UNHAPPY with my stomach, I think it shows my hard work even though it not perfect. So no go on the tummy tuck. Oliver was pretty relieved I came around to that idea on my own!

In case some of you are curious on cost, a lift + silicone impant = 7,900
for that + tummy = 13,500

I don't recommend the Groupon boob job, maybe I could shop around for a cheaper price, but this is my forever body and I'd like it to look decent so I'll pay for piece of mind!

I'm planning to do a quick 5 minute workout session on Periscope Monday through Friday nights at 8:45 CST Bedtime Abs, Arms, or Booty. I'm going to try saving them to my phone to upload to YouTube later for those of you who can't make it :)

I didn't have any running buddies today so I busted out 45 minutes of cardio at the gym.

Stairmaster
10 minutes increasing speed each minute - NO HANDS Y'ALL.
5 minutes fast pace skipping a stair
5 minutes of stair running for 20 second intervals {fast 20/slow 40}

Treadmill
15 minutes running, increasing speed every so often.
10 minutes of sprints {30 on/30 off}

  1. Good for you! I say whatever makes you happy you deserve! The amount of work you have done deserves the rewards!

  2. Whatever makes you happy is the most important thing but DANG, only $5k more..and you are already taking the sick leave and going under anesthesia. Just think really hard on it. It will suck to have the boobies and regret not getting the tummy done and have to go back in. Plus, it would cost more $$$.

  3. Congrats on the decision for the breast implants/lift! I had mine done in 2013! Best decision ever made! My only advice is to go slightly bigger than you think you want. They swelling goes down, they shift and settle and they can change drastically in size 6-9 months post op. ~Christy Danner~

  4. They only thing I would recommend is to go SMALLER than you think.... the Dr's always want you to go bigger,,, but having had 2 reductions....I always tell my friends to go with what they want, minus a little bit... You can always make them look BIGGER with push up bra, etc... but minimizing, as big breasted friends know, is so easy task!... congratulations! and good luck.... it was by far the best thing I did- and had no pain at all!

  5. I want a boob lift so badly as my boobs hang so low (always have!) but I just heard how hard the recovery is so I cannot wait to hear your story. I am glad you declined the tummy tuck. Most people I have spoken to weren't 100% thrilled with their results and I say if you are paying that kind of money you better be more than 100% happy with the results. Also to note: one of my bridesmaids had a tummy tuck, got an infection and they had to dig out her stomach (basically) and she had to wear a machine for three months. Gross. haha. Each story is different, but THAT is the story that sticks out in my mind. ;)

  6. I was the opposite of you... I went in for a consult for a TT w/ muscle repair and decided to ask how much more it would be for implants (no lift). After 2 kids and getting to my goal (-ish) weight I had a nice little kangaroo pouch and a belly button that looked like a butthole (no lie). I was a small B and after going back and forth for a while I'm SO glad I went ahead with both procedures. I agree it's better to do it all at once and get it over with, it'll cost less in the end and recovery is just one time and since you're already going under might as well! But that's just me. Even with the long hip to hip scar I would much rather have that (which can for the most part be covered by undies or most swim suits) than the ugly belly I used to have! I even had some complications with my scar (which the doctor has to fix) but I would do it all over again! I'm so much more confident! Also I agree to go bigger than you think and the reason the doctors tell you that is because they have heard it before from their patients that wish they went bigger. The morning of surgery the doctor confirmed with me the size I had agreed on and it sounded so big so at the last minute I changed my mind and went with a smaller implant and now I wish I hadn't. I'm 6 months post-op and now the swelling has gone down and they are settled I feel like they are much smaller than they were a couple months ago. I'm still happy I got them but just wish I hadn't changed my mind. If you haven't heard of this website before, I highly recommend realself.com if you want to do more research on the procedures. But again, to each their own! Best of luck!!!

  7. it's so much better to do it all at once, the recovery, the sick leave, the healing etc.. think twice about it. I would def go for both at the same time!!!!
