Valentines's Weekend

I loved Valentines Day being on a Saturday, every where I went there was pink and red, hearts and glitter, just a few of my favorite things!

Saturday we went for a sunrise run, 8 miles at a 9:06 pace, I was sucking air big time. I'm more comfortable around a 9:30, but no one ever gets faster sticking to their comfort spot.

Came home to Madison's surprise Heart Attack from my parents, a local church was raising money for a mission trip and they came to the house and planted paper hearts around the yard. It was so cute and such a great idea!

Made breakfast for everyone, mine was the post run carb lovin' protein pancakes. I look forward to this meal every single weekend! Blueberries and Cinnamon Toast Crunch are surprisingly delicious together.

Took the kids out for a few errands and Madison's last indoor soccer game, Oliver had to work the morning shift. Then everyone home for naps while my Mom and I went to get a pedicure. I realized I hadn't had one since around Christmas, yikes.

We didn't make reservations anywhere so we just met up with my brother and sister for pizza at a local restaurant. I had a salad with dressing on the side and a skinny veggie pizza.

Baby Aiden was being so loveable and just laid on my Dad's arm, everyone love Papa.

Poor Madison just can not catch a break, Thursday she was running a 103 fever and then Sunday she had some kind of stomach bug and was in and out of the bathroom all day. I don't know why she keeps getting sick :( I'm glad school's out today, she's already missed like a week and a half this semester!

This pretty much sums up my life right now, Aiden chasing me around the house to grab on to my legs and stand so I can't move without picking him up. He's pretty fast for a guy who crawls with one leg. I'm leaving for Vegas tomorrow and while I'm excited because I've never been it's really really hard to leave the kids. Hopefully I'll be so busy while I'm there I won't have time to dwell on it.

  1. So far this year, we've had strep, swollen tonsils and 2 ear infections. One of the ear infections landed us at Children's last night because it was masquerading as a concussion. I've had enough! Hope she's feeling better soon! Have fun in Vegas! It's a blast!

  2. I give my kids AdvoCare vitamins. Our daily routine is the V100, a Citrizinc, and one probiotic restore. We don't usually miss a day, my kids have not been sick yet (knock on wood)! I know you are a distributor so give it a try!

How is veggie pizza? I've never tried it.. Except the kind my mom make but her "sauce" isn't very "skinny" lol

  4. Those Kindergarten germs are brutal! I thought we'd be immune to them b/c of 2 years of preschool - but nope! To give you hope - First grade has been so much better this year germ wise. It seems for my daughter's entire class too, not just her. So that has been nice in comparison to last year.

  5. Go you! Running 8 miles is certainly no joke, and those pancakes look delicious. If I were you, I would have been thinking about them the entire run. I really hope Madison feels better! Praying for her and the rest of your family to be healthy. :)

  7. I feel like Beckett does the same thing. It's especially interesting when I'm wearing old pajama pants and he just pulls them right off of me. He's into the cabinets now, too. Patience - we're working on that.

  8. I swear there is something in the air with the sickies! My kids have it too. Last week it was the stomach bug for Riley and Taylor, and then next week it was the GI bug for Will and I, and this week it's croup for Riley. UGHHHHH. I know Twilight Sparkle was super sick too and so was Aiden. I swear their immune systems just get worked and then the next germ or virus comes along and they don't have time to recover and so it's BAM, sick again. :( Well, hope everything gets better in your household with the sick stuff, and ENJOY VEGAS! So fun!!

  10. Hahaha! My daughter crawls with one leg too! Well, she did up until a couple of months ago when she finally decided to walk! We called her our little chimp because of the way she used her arms and drug her little leg around! But Damn! She was FAST!

  12. poor girl is probably stressed. i know that has a lot to do with why my daughter has been getting sick since being in kinder. Especially after that video you posted about the mean girl at her school, that can be super stressful. and nothing lowers your immune system like some good ole stress! definitely something to think about :) Hope it gets better soon!
