We are heading into the best time of the year, Summer is always when we make the most memories! I'm a little sad this year we can't take an 'official' vacation because I used up all my time on maternity leave. We did rent a cabin in Oklahoma for a weekend, one problem, it's 25 FREAKING MILES into the forest so I'm guessing no internet service. My 13 year old cousin may die :) Heck, I may too! Just for fun here's a little summer edition of some #throwbackthursday or #TBT as the cool kids call it.
2009: Sweet Twilight Sparkle was just 4 months old and sure looks like Aiden!
It was a rough summer.
2010: She scored her first swing set that she still loves today - money well spent!
We also spent almost every afternoon at the splash park trying to wear her out for a nap.
2012: Oliver and I took our first baby free vacation on the Carnival Triumph with a group of friends. We had a blast, but spent WAY too much on the boat - think we'll stick with all inclusive resorts next time.
We also spent a week in Michigan {St. Joe area} to visit family. I'm from South Bend so we try to go back every 2 years or so to see my Dad's family.
2013: Our first trip to Gulf Shores {which we LOVED} - the same week little baby Aiden was being made in my belly - I found out I was pregnant the next day.

I love this. It made me so excited for summer with our girls!
ReplyDeleteGulf Shores is amazing! Definitely my favorite vacation ever. I was younger though, so I can't imagine how awesome it would be this time around!
ReplyDeleteI knew there was a reason I loved you so much, you are a Midwest girl like myself ;)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite picture is TS at the splash pad. I am a sucker for chunky baby legs, she is adorable!
SO fun!! Summer is my ultimate favorite season. I need the sun, sand, and ocean :)
ReplyDeleteWOW Aiden looks so much like Madison!
ReplyDeleteGreat throw back! Summer is definitely the best time of year.
ReplyDeleteHey I'm from Michigan. I live near Holland, so about an hour north of St Joe. Sadly I don't go to the beach nearly as often as I should considering it's only 30 minutes from my house.
ReplyDeleteI am hoping to go on a real vacation in the next few years. My husband doesn't like going anywhere so it may be just me, little man and my parents but I want Wyatt to see new and exciting things.
ReplyDeleteI had no idea you were from South Bend! I lived there for five years and currently work there, but my husband and I live in St. Joe now so I commute 45 minutes down there. What a small world!
ReplyDeleteWow I almost choked on my dinner when I got to the part in your post about Michigan...I too work in South Bend like Monica above but live just across the stateline in Edwardsburg. We love visiting St Joe on the weekends! Wow what a small world. I guess since you try to come back every 2 years, we'll see you back here in 2015 when you have more vacation time ;)
ReplyDeleteI love the Outer Banks!! We usually go to Nags Head! So much quieter than Destin--but I do love me some Florida beaches!!

ReplyDeleteIf you are going to cabins in Broken Bow, OK most of them have free wi-fi. It's beautiful there, we try to go once or twice a year!
ReplyDeleteI've got South Bend connections too! Small blog world!
ReplyDeleteYour pics make me need the beach NOW! A beachy candle will have to do for now...
