It's so hard to not step on that scale! I'm all 'ohhh I'm feeling skinny' or 'ohhhhh I just had a beastmode workout' and I'm tempted to step on that blasted thing and see if I've dropped .2 but I don't because I know it could ruin it for me.
Ah well, no need for undo stress, I'll have plenty when I go back to work at the end of the month. Top of that list being pumping and how to incorporate that into my day, ugh. I really want to make it to at least 6 months for him.
Anyways here's how it going.
Running is coming along, slowly, the heat is doing me no favors. Sunday I got out a bit late and by 3 miles I was wiped, so I set up a circuit in the driveway. I HATE HATE HATE working out in my house, it's hot and I sweat like a dude, which I'd rather not have on my pretty rugs.
I'm lowering my cardio and doing weights every single day, my night time recovery is helping me work through the soreness and it's been awesome! I'm definitely feeling stronger and I can see my shape starting to come back. I still have a long way to go, but focusing on little victories helps keep me motivated.

I LOVE having the gym all to myself on Monday mornings, that way no one witnesses me falling off while side galloping too fast - anything to work those legs!
Meredith and I decided to give Jamie Eason's 12 Week Workout a try, just for kicks. It's free {the App is called BodySpace} and you can also use the meal plans, we aren't, she lost it for us when she recommends 1 fruit a day. Yikes. So far I really like it, I've learned some new things, like how to use the cable machine at the gym.
If you are new to strength training I highly recommend this, the moves challenging and there are videos for each one if you're not sure what to do.
I found this recipe on IG and I'm obsessed, so easy, so good, so protein packed.
I top mine with a mix of greek cream cheese and honey for more protein, 25g per waffle. I'm already wondering if they reheat well so I can make them the night before and take them to work!
I love my 5am girls, they make it fun to get up at the crack of dawn and sweat your ass off, which keeps me going back day after day. Working out should be fun, not a chore, keep searching if you haven't found yours. Guilt your friends into working out with you - they just might thank you for it :)
You are looking great!

Way to go!!! I'm on day three of phase three for the 12 week program. I'm loving the program all together! Not strictly following her meal plan either, but I have cut way back on the carbs. You look great, keep on inspiring!
ReplyDeleteYou are such as inspiration! I love that you are soooo postive! Losing weight is so hard, but you are doing great!!!
ReplyDeletePlease keep the recipes coming! Definitely trying this one this week! You look amazing!!
ReplyDeleteYou are looking great! Thanks for sharing and always inspiring.
ReplyDeleteYour positivity is truly inspiring! I am easily discouraged with the struggle and your posts really help me keep on pushing. Those waffles look amazing! I am wondering if they will reheat too!? I need a quick grab-n-go breakfast!
ReplyDeleteI am making those waffles STAT! And I started following that IG. You should do a post about your favorite IGs for recipes!
ReplyDeletethose waffles look good, proud of u! great post
ReplyDeleteThat sucks that you have to go back to work. Move to Canada where we get a year off for maternity leave. Going to try your cottage cheese waffles this weekend. I think you are looking fantastic. Don't be so hard on yourself.
ReplyDeleteYou look like you're having a blast (especially in the last picture)! I have a REALLY hard time doing weights on my own. I'm such a wimp. I need peer pressure to gets those last reps in. You're super lucky to have such a great group of friends to workout with in the AM. :)
ReplyDeleteKeep it up girly! those waffles look so good, going to have to give them a try. I am going to check out that app too, I love Jamie Eason!
ReplyDeleteI know you know this but the scale is a big far liar!!!! Take out the tape measure. I just lost 4.5 inches on my waist but only lost 6lbs. I was so so so crabby until I took my measurements! I couldn't believe it.
ReplyDeleteAwesome work!! I just downloaded that app last week and I plan on starting the Jamie Eason workout today! I like having a good plan for when I head to the gym, and that will definitely help.
ReplyDeleteI need to make myself start getting up early. The gym is literally less than 3 miles from my house. I just love sleep. Sleep, or fat, sleep or fat?
ReplyDeleteFunny you mention Jamie Eason's LiveFit program because I had been planning to do that as a backup plan since before I had this baby. But I'm meeting with my trainer on Friday to get the full workout I'll be doing for the next while and she usually kicks my butt so hard I don't need a backup plan. I've been killing it in the gym already for the past 2 weeks, but it will be nice to have a "program" so things are a bit more systematic. You keep inspiring me!!
ReplyDeleteGirl, you are lookin' so good. :) i dont' know how you do it!
ReplyDeleteI need to learn how to use all those machines. I get bored at our gym a lot because I do the same old stuff..
I'm on day 47 and LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteYou look great! I had our baby girl (via C Section) 6 months ago and can soooo relate to everything you post! You are a great motivator for me! I have been pumping every weekday while working since I came back from maternity leave and have found that getting into a good routine and having a great pump are two MUSTS for success. I am sure you will do fine :)
ReplyDeleteShoot! I wish I had seen this earlier because now I want that waffle and it's midnight. lol
ReplyDeleteThat last picture cracks me up!! You're doing great!
ReplyDeleteHave you done a post on the supplements you take? I saw what you were taking during pregnancy is it the same now? I need help I am just starting getting fit again and I want to build lean muscle and lose some fat!
ReplyDeleteI tried to add you òn my fitness pal but I'm not sure if it worked. I sent it to your email I think. I just started doing macros today. It is so against everything in me to eat that much! Wow hopefully that will boost my metabolism. Oh and I started a lifting routine!
ReplyDeleteI WISH I could find some ladies to work out with at 5am! The gym I go to is ALL dudes! They are hoggers of weights and machines and they gawk, so gross. But I blast my music and also do the Jamie Eason workouts! I superset so I run to the gym (1/2 mile), lift for about 40 minutes (3 sets each), then run home the long way (2 miles). 3-4 days a week on that...........spin two days and am training for a tri so weekends are biking, swimming and running. But I love my lift days!!!
