Summa Summa Time

My Aunt is in town from Maryland and wanted to hit up Canton, of course we were happy to oblige! Friday was perfect weather for some outdoor shopping, 75 and sunny.

I took Little Man and he was just an angel, seriously didn't cry except to be fed and we were there for HOURS. So blessed with this sweet child, I want to eat his face off daily! I got to meet a few readers which was really awesome, maybe we should plan a girls shopping trip for next month? I know a few people who've never been and that's almost a crime if you live here :)

I bought some cute non-slip headbands called Lemon Heads for Madison and I, they are great and you can do some fun hairstyles with them!

I also found the perfect present for a 6 year old who just lost her first tooth - a tooth doggie from Covered in Blessings. You put the tooth in the tiny pocket nose and the tooth fairy can come leave you a dollar - or five if that's how you roll :) I HAD to get Madison this adorable wrap, it's just soooo soft and she is forever trying to get a towel to hang on around her chest.

Fastest way to get my Mom out of Canton is to load up her cart and make her push it all the way to the car :) Works every time!

Madison put her 'Dress Yourself Sunday' to good use although we were unsure if she was a princess or a fairy. One day I'll be sad when we are fighting over her trying to wear a too short dress, I cherish these times with her.

I'm still sticking with the notion that having two kids really ain't that much harder than one. In fact I must have been day drinking because I almost talked Oliver in to adopting a pup while we were out running errands. Gah, I MUST be drunk haha. Well if you ask Madison I am - ONE TIME - I go through the gas station drive though and buy wine {you know after I hit that parked car - it was a rough day} and she tells EVERYONE 'Oh my Mommy likes wine from the gas station' . Tattle.

After errands she spent the rest of the day playing outside with the neighbors, it's already hitting 90 here so we turned the sprinklers on under the trampoline for some fun.  Aiden and I enjoyed the shade while she played and Oliver mowed, I love summer.

After dinner with my parents we all climbed into a chair made for one and watched {half} a movie, both kids were out by 7:30 which pretty much means we had a successful weekend of fun!

  5. I was on my way to San Antonio from East Texas Friday & it took ALL I HAD not to stop into Canton for a few! But..I knew I would lose HOURS if I did! And it ended up taking me 10 hours to make a 5 hour 50 min trip anyways...I get sidetracked easily! So it's good I didn't stop in Canton...plus I'd prob look like a creeper hunting you down to say hi & get a selfie for IG!

  6. Texas is the best :) I am trying to believe that two is not harder than one. Not ready to test it yet, my first (and only) is a handful!

PS, you are looking GREAT, lady!

  7. Awesome weekend! I need to take more pictures to document our awesome weekends we have been having! I just started blogging my fitness journey. I had a baby if February and after following you and your inspiring posts I wanted to see if it would help me stay inspired by writing my journey out. Take a peak if you have time (ha, time, with a new baby, not likely, at least not in my home ;))

  9. True story, the only time I've ever been to Texas (besides just the airport) was to Canton with my grandmother. She isn't really up for a trip that requires a lot of walking but I've been trying to talk my sisters and friends into going with me. Also, between you and a friend at work, I've pretty much decided spring/summer is the best time to have babies. Enjoy that maternity leave during the beautiful weather! :)

  11. You have the CUTEST family ever. Also? Can there please be a Canton in every state? Seems unfair for you guys to have all the greatest home decor...I mean, minus those giant Scrabble tiles ;)

  12. I love the idea of Dress yourself Sunday. Let the kids decide once a week what they will wear that day.

  18. So jealous of your drive through alcohol! When I think of gas station wine, Boonsfarm comes to mind...is that even wine? Not really. Anyways....get a puppy! I'll come to Dallas and train it, while we drink gas station wine. :)
