Mother's Day Weekend.

necklace from Sugar Love.
Mother's Day weekend started out with a bang; gym, protein shake, cute outfit, and I was ready to hit up a fun Vintage Market show with my Mom. First let me take a selfie

I found some cute crochet capri's, a neon blingy necklace, and a metal pink flamingo for my buffet. Twilight Sparkle named her Rose :)  It was a good show, they are coming around again in October so keep an eye out if you like these sort of things.

Sunday I crawled out from between two children around 5am, why does everyone want to lay on me? Madison's been having 'nightmares' almost every night, I'm pretty sure she just wants to sleep near Aiden. Oliver's in charge of her from 10pm - 7am, I can't carry that sleeping child, she's like a ton of bricks when she's asleep. My back was killing me, it's become apparent that we need a new mattress, when you lay little Aiden all swaddled up on it he rolls around, so I took a chance and ordered one off Amazon that our friends bought and loved. Finger's crossed. Madison made me some beautiful Mother's Day cards, best gift I could get.

Sunday Runday was in full effect, I did 5, then did 1 with Twilight Sparkle, that girls getting good, she can almost out sprint me! We also did some squats, situps, and lunges, she's not quite ready for pushups the only thing moving is her head :)

Then something realllllly exciting happened, I french braided my hair. It's not perfect, but it's getting better, I have to keep my self interested in the length so I don't chop it off, maybe when I get closer to my goal weight.

I went and picked up my Mom for a surprise massage at the Foot Palace. I've never been to one of these before, but my hair girl {Ashley!} told me it was amazing. You are in a room like the picture above {keeping your clothing on!} and then they have you lie down with your feet soaking in hot water while they do pressure point {reflexology} type massage on your head, neck, and arms. Finally they move to your feet and back, oh it's heavenly! 29 bucks for 70 minutes - HOLLA!

We finished off the day having dinner with the family, although going out to eat on Mother's Day can be a test of your patience.  We let Oliver pick the restaurant and he picked Red Lobster, the ritas were good and I only indulged in 1 biscuit, true will power right there! Actually I looked up the calories, that always ruins it for me :)
I have the best Mother and Mother In Law around, if y'all have followed me for any amount of time then you know I'm blessed :) Or spoiled, whatever.

These two make being a Mom easy!

  10. I love that TS runs with you. I hope I can be motivational with my kids to be active. Growing up my parents fed us biscuits and gravy and anything and everything fried. I don't want my kids to struggle the way I have. I was never really taught the importance of what you put in your body and how it affects you. I fell off the work-out train a year ago, but I'm really ready to get back on. Everytime I see you on IG, I think to myself "get your lazy bum off the couch and go do this!" Thanks for being such an inspiration--in more ways than one!

  20. 1. Good for you for exercising with TS! It's sad how many kids just sit in front of the TV & video games these days. Her in her little headband made me smile. :-)
    2. We have a similar pacifier to Aiden's heart one and for some reason every time it's upside down I feel like I have to fix it - like it's an upside down cross or a pentagram or something, lol. OCD/Weird Mom Alert over here!
