Advocare 10 Day Cleanse Results - Weighing In Wednesday

Another week has passed and it's time to weigh in:
190

So I stayed the same this week, which is OK I guess, better than a gain. Brightside and all.
I had a few slip ups over the weekend mainly due to being busy and not planning well.  Even when I ate poorly I tracked it and stayed within my calorie goals for the day, but that dang sodium will get ya.

I finished the Advocare 10 day cleanse - lost 5 pounds. I didn't track my inches because things are shifting and such after baby so I didn't feel it would be a good representation.
I did take before and afters, trying to keep it real around here :)
Honestly who the heck takes bikini photos after giving birth? I am obviously an over-sharer. I just know that sharing how not everyone goes back to flat abs and tiny waists quickly can be helpful to many, because the few that do are in the minority.

I still have a long way to go, but I'm all for any and all progress. It's ok to be in your 'before' because as long as you put in work you will get an 'after'.

I'm back at the gym, not going full tilt just yet but everyday it gets a little easier.
Spin class is great, not a lot of bouncing, but a great way to get my heart rate up.
Step/Turbo Kick is hard, like I'm pretty sure I had an easier time when I had a 39 week belly! I did some light leg work, squats and lunges - unweighted - and could barely walk for 2 days. It's going to take a while to get back to where I was.

pants are from JCPenny's. Love them!

I felt freaking amazing after running 3 miles on the dreadmill yesterday. Sure it was an 11/min mile, but I was running and my Gina didn't want to fall off - winning.

I've had a ton of questions about my milk supply while I diet and exercise. I've never had a supply issue so I don't foresee any problems, in fact as long as you are eating well and staying hydrated you shouldn't have any issues. I'm not marathon training or anything crazy! Also you can eat all the veggies you want, it's a myth that it causes gas in the baby. Babies are just gassy because their digestive tracts are developing, usually dairy is the culprit if your having milk issues, not broccoli.

my lashes are totally fake, no great mascara recommendations :) Sorry!

Speaking of food I found the most delish cookie recipe! Madison and I spent yesterday afternoon baking them and they are kid and husband approved!

Blueberry Oatmeal Cookies

Cheers to a great week!

  3. Your honesty and willingness to share your journey with us is so inspiring! I'm 10 MONTHS post partum and every single day is a struggle to get back where I was pre-pregnancy. It's not easy. Thank you for putting yourself out there and showing us that we are all in this together and moms can be healthy and take care of themselves as well as their little ones!

  5. You are such an inspiration! Thank you for keeping it real. I think it's important to note how active you were during pregnancy and you continue to be during your recovery, but that c-section in there still set you back physically. How many of us don't give ourselves grace and are not mindful of the toll that childbirth and c-sections take on our bodies just naturally? You are doing so great!

  7. These cookies looked delish on your Instagram and still do today. However, I know NOTHING about how to dry blueberries or use whole oats, so I'm out. But you DO look AMAZING for just having given birth. And I've never had a baby and run about a 13-14 min mile, so you're still lapping me! Great job!

  21. I wish I had your courage to "over share". I am at 192 (this is the first time, besides in myfitnesspal, that I am sharing my weight or even typed it out for that matter) and I am so afraid to take pictures and put them on the world wide web for all to see. I know that if I did, or at least share with someone, it would keep me motivated to work on making those photos better. When I even attempt to take the bikini photo I have an anxiety attack and talk myself out of it. I say kudos to you, you are beautiful inside and out and thanks for being my inspiration.
p.s. The littlest little is just the cutest. I bet TS adores him and wants to help every chance she gets.

  29. You are amazing and so brave! I love your courage and how confident you are in your own skin. Its refreshing, really. I was NOT one of those have a baby and instantly have a flat stomach kind of girls. I have 3 girls and by the time I was done having number 3 I couldn't even recognize myself. I never lost an ounce while breastfeeding so when I finally finished breastfeeding my third at about a year old, I knew I had to change things because I couldn't imagine going through the rest of my life as unhappy as I was. I changed the way I eat and began running, and took up Jazzercise and I've lost 70 pounds and am never looking back! I've followed your blog for a long time and usually don't comment but I had to tell you how much I appreciate YOU and how open and honest you are!

  30. Ok I want eyelash extensions. :) Thanks for answering my email by the way. And THANK YOU for keeping it real and posting your progress pics and updates - it definitely keeps me inspired. We have very similar body types -both throughout our pregnancies and in recovery too. And I can tell a different in your side by sides, your waist is a lot smaller am I right? You are looking great and I love reading your updates. I'm trying to figure out my "diet" right now. I've been slowly making better healthier choices but haven't figured out how little/much to eat and still make good milk supply. I notice my supply does go down when I restrict calories right now, ugh. So I'm still figuring things out. Good point about the veggies too. Although I had a spinach salad the other night and baby HATED me for it. PRetty sure that was what it is..tried it again the next night to be sure and once again....up all night with gassy fussy baby tummy. Anyway. But you have a good point. I will just keep trying the veggies regardless. Okay gotta run, but great to read your progress.

  32. You look amazing I wish when I had my son two years ago and gained 70lbs during the pregnancy and still had a good 30 to loose after (i lost 40 in the hospital, I was lucky) that I knew of your page. I feel like everyone expects you to bounce right back and that had me feeling worse than the actual weight I had to loose. Keep on being an inspiration Meg xoxo

  34. You're just fantastic. Thanks so much - I will be referring to this post as I begin my post-baby fitness journey in about 11 weeks! It really is reassuring to see that not everyone is "perfect" or just snaps back into shape in a week. But you're busting your butt (literally) and doing it the right way... keep up the great work!

  37. I think you totally rock for sharing these pictures! There is really nothing better in this world than some good genuine, honesty! I get so tired of the "workout picture" that look more like they are casting to be in Playboy. You're amazingly beautiful and brave. You are inspiring and I admire you for this post! Well done, lovely! Keep up the soulful work and enjoy your sweet baby!

  39. You look incredible!! Sodium has been the one thing I've been struggling with too, all my other numbers even out but the damn sodium sneaks up on me and is always over. It's annoying!

  40. What will most likely get you is pumping at work. That is when my milk supply tanked. And I was pumping religiously.

  45. Great blog! I love it. And my favourite are the workouts where you can't walk for two days, I know that's crazy but that's how I know I worked my ass off. literally :)

  46. Thank you for being so open and honest about what 99% of women look like after having a baby. I had my 3rd child 5 months ago, and knowing in my mind I was determined to work the baby weight off, it's still a struggle looking at myself in the mirror (and I'm a size 8 at that). BUT, those mom pouches do not go away over night, especially when stretch marks are involved. I'm still working my tail off and still feel like that area hasn't made a lot of progress, but it took 9 months (3 x's in my case) to get that way so it's going to take a lot of work to flatten and smooth that bad boy down. Kuddos to you for having the confidence in yourself to put yourself out there, literally!

  47. You look amazing!! Awesome job at getting back into the grind right away. I wish I had that kinda drive. I just had a second failed IVF cycle and it all just hit me and I'm a mess. I need to get back on the weight loss bandwagon and lose an odd 70lbs before my next try in Oct. I just wanted to thank you for your blogs! They keep me sane on insane days!!

    All the best!
