Bumpdate 32 Weeks

32 Weeks! Baby Aiden is sitting up pretty high, he can stay there it's fine with me. I have a lot more heartburn, but I started taking Prilosec every night and it's helping tremendously. My CSection date got moved up to March 5th, which is my 39 week mark. This is fine with me because at exactly 39 weeks with Madison my water broke, I'm OK with not leaking water all over my new car :)

He is still overly active, these two fight to feel him kick at night.  Oliver thinks it's awesome when he kicks so hard my entire belly is lopsided, it's cool, but it also hurts! I only have 6 weekends left before I have two kids, eeeeeekkkkk! I found something for him to sleep in, the Rock N Play has some amazing reviews, I hope it works. We need to finish his room and actually get clothing for day to day, like sleepers. I have some cute 'outfits', but no daily stuff yet. Yikes, I need to get on it. Like yesterday!

I decided to cloth diaper this go round to save money and you know save the environment :) I have a friend who has been doing it, but it's really overwhelming at first! There happens to be a shop in Dallas called Nappy Shoppe that offers Diapering 101 classes so we went on Saturday. Oh my gosh, she broke it down and now I'm REALLY excited to do it, honestly I don't see it being that much more work. Oliver's pretty good at keeping up with the laundry during the week, so it shouldn't be much harder.  I'm going to start off doing prefolds {you prefold a cloth piece first then cover it with a cover, you only need to change the cloth part unless they have a blowout} for the first 3 months. The bigger he gets I may switch to something that snaps together. I still have a lot to learn, but I'm excited!

This one needs to keep her germs out of the house, we have all been sick with the flu and now a nasty cold. Ughhhhhhhh. I just can't with the coughing all night, the snot, the blahs. I'm ready for Spring.

We sure are glad Aunt Katie will come over and play :) I'm having the hardest time just working on not peeing myself every time I have a coughing attack. Poor Aiden is just mad with all the belly shaking going on.

We were able to pull it together for some family/maternity pictures, the weather was gorgeous! I love our girl Amber from Amber Jane Images {and not just because she brought me a extra large Reese's cup!} I can't wait to see them!

  1. We have the Rock n' Play and LOVE it! My daughter has slept in it since we brought her home from the hospital. She is 8 months now and will still fall asleep in it before we put her in the crib at night. That is the best purchase (in my opinion) we made! ;)

  4. You look great!

We loved the RNP. I actually cried when my son outgrew it. It is totally 110% a must have! It was one of our top 3 baby items for sure.

  5. I just opened a small Etsy shop selling burp rags and bandana bibs (proceeds go toward our IVF fund, with one item being donated to families providing foster care for every order placed), and one of the patterns is identical to the chevron you're holding in the picture. Can I send you some? I probably sound like a total kiss ass (oh well!), but it would be an honor to send a few things for a fellow infertility sister...especially one that has beaten it.

  7. Yes! The Rock N Play was a lifesaver for us. My son WOULD NOT sleep laying flat on his back. Within minutes of putting him down in his crib he would wake up. Once we got the Rock N Play I was finally able to get some decent stretches of sleep!

The only hard part was transitioning him to the crib once he outgrew the Rock N Play. It took about a week, but he's a great sleeper now.

  8. You look so great! I have a question for you that I'm not sure if you've thought about. I was wondering what your plan was for getting back into working out and running? I'm currently 22 weeks and a but discouraged that other moms have told me to pretty much forget about my fitness goals after I have my baby. I was signed up for a half in nov but we moved out of state and I really want to do a half this year. I just wanted to ask you and turn to you to see what you were planning on doing or wondering if maybe you've experienced the same thing. Much love!

  9. The Rock and Play is pretty much a Godsend! We had one and used it for both our kids (21 months and 6 months, our daughter slept in it till she was like 4 months just because I could drag it everywhere we went so much easier than a pack and play. Our son slept in it till he was like a month.

  10. We love cloth diapering. It has become a hobby and it's truly no more work than regular diapers!

  11. So excited for y'all! 6 weeks eeeeek! In just a blink he'll be here! Can't wait to see what you've done with his nursery.

Kent and I were at the Nappy Shoppe on Saturday too! In fact we were talking about how many cars were outside and figured a class was going on. We took the CD'ing 101 as well. Looks like you were there at the same time as us. Love that place. The staff is always super helpful and honest about their products. CD'ing is overwhelming in the beginning well at least I feel that some over complicate it but once you figure out what works for you it's a easy. You just have to be dedicated to finding a system that works for your family. Ummmm not to mention how adorable they are! We're just getting Weston into his size 1's. We used Sweet Pea newborn all in ones for the 1st few months. It's so fun picking out all the new diaper!

  13. Um... as I was scrolling, I totally thought the picture of the girl on the couch was me. If I was skinny and in Dallas. LOL

  14. We used cloth diapers until my kids started solids at 6months, bc dammmmmmnnnnnnn the poop changes! Also used prefolds, loved that I could just dump them into the bin rather than wiggle them out of the insert. I got all my stuff from greenmountaindiapers.com. Found them pretty reasonable and they have great tutorials.

  15. We Loved the Rock and Play! Our little boy slept in it by our bed for close to 3 months. I liked that it kept his head up in case he spit up! Congrats to you for cloth diapering... I never even considered it! Can't wait to see baby Aiden!

  16. We cloth diaper too! You will love it. We probably use cloth 80% of the time and disposable 20% of the time. You find your balance. I bought most of my stash at alvababy.com.
