31 Week Bumpdate

31 Weeks! I'm becoming antsy for a run, I'm really missing it. Nothing beats a good long run to clear your head. I've been dealing with some anxiety over adding an infant to my life, Madison was such a hard baby that I worry how I'll deal with working AND a temperamental kid. I just keep reminding myself that he could come out happy as a clam, in fact I pray for it daily.

I'm also trying to figure out what to do with Madison this summer, the preschool she went to last summer didn't work out very well so I'm looking for an alternative. My MIL will be watching the baby and I don't want to overwhelm her with both kiddos, maybe a summer camp? Just something for a few hours each day.

Usually at this point in pregnancy I'm sick of my preggo clothes, so I've been creative in finding cute things I can wear even after. I LOVE this long sleeved navy blue top paired with the grey cardi from Andy Ve Eirn. The cardigan will work well into the spring months too!  I think this blue camo top needs to be mine, what can I say I love clothing!

I've been dealing with a lot of swelling in my legs, I think it's from sitting at a desk at work all day because it's worse during the week. I found some perfect compression tights that help, they even have some fun colors. I got teal and black, they are from Preggers and super comfy!

All I can say is THANK YOU JESUS for making me pregnant in the winter time, I would be miserable to be pregnant in the Texas heat!

I decided to be brave and do a few maternity photos, finding the perfect outfit has proven to be hard. No dresses {my pales legs would blind you}, I have some cute stuff, I just want something that highlights my belly, but not my boobs :) Unfortunately it was crazy windy Sunday we had to reschedule for next week so I have some more time to obsess about it.

Twilight and I spent some time outside, it was gorgeous and 70 degrees! She's really enjoying her scooter and the new yoga DVD I got her for Christmas.

My Mom and I also took her for some Enchanted Fairy pictures. Basically you pay a minimal sitting fee and they dress your child up like a fairy and take pictures.  She was able to pick her outfit and get her hair and makeup done. Uh, she was in heaven!

She couldn't stop staring at herself :) We go back next weekend to pick our pictures and I'm thinking it's going to be really expensive because they make the pictures look like this.....

and I really want a huge one for her room. Eek.
God knew what he was doing when he gave me a boy for my next child!

  4. I swear the whole "no two kids are a like" thing is true. My daughter was the perfect baby. Alert, never cried unless there was a reason, started sleeping through the night very quickly. My son....ugh nightmare. Cried all day and all night. He was colic, had reflux, you name it. So you should be golden this time! :)

  5. I was prego with both of my kids in the summer. I live in East Texas so it was ROUGH.

  6. Try not to stress too much over having a new baby but that is easy for me to say! My first was colicky, ate every 1.5 hours round the clock and hated the car. So when my second was born, I crossed my fingers. He was such an easy baby. Yes, he ate frequently but fell asleep immediately after, loved riding in the car and was content. Plus having my 6 year old daughter playing with and around him kept him so happy so I could get ready for work, get chores done, etc.

Just give yourself time to stll be you. With my first, I felt like I needed to be "on" all the time and with my second I realized my hubby (great guy!) can handle things at home so I could take a walk or have lunch with friends.

  7. Sitting at a desk all day killed me when I was pregnant. You would think it wouldn't be too bad since you are off your feet, but that is def not the case!!

  8. Have you ever used Sally Hansen instant tan spray? OMG!! That stuff is awesome!! You shoukd try it out before your photo shoot and see how you like it! I used it for my husbands work party on my stark legs and my legs looked beautiful! I now put it on my face when I do my makeup so I look better. Best investment ever! I think its like $13. Can't wait to see TS photos! I have 3 boys so no hipe fir that happening!

  10. I would absolutely recommend having her go to day camp during the day during the summer! My mother sent me to sleepaway summer camp from a young age and it became something I am a lifelong lover of! It teaches kids a lot of social and personal skills they don't necessarily get to experience at home because they have to be more independent!! (:

  12. Allen Parks and Recreation Centers have some amazing summer camps; after hearing my friends' kids rave about them, we are going that route this summer. And there's always vacation bible schools too - free and my kids loved them (if you are into that sorta thing!)

  13. You still look great! You will be back to the grind in no time with your runs and workouts. Until then enjoy this pregnancy, do what you can, and enjoy this sweet baby boy when he gets here! TS is adorable. I can't wait to see how her pictures turned out. Check amazon local for some good canvas print deals.

  15. Your Mom might WANT both kids. I know my Mom did/does. When I mentioned having her just watch ONE of my two, it didn't go over well..at all. So my two cents (not that you asked) is let her watch both IF she wants to. If SHE tells you she needs a break, then give her one. We are both lucky to have Moms who are totally bat-crazy over our babies, and love soaking up every second they spend with them. :)

  18. Adorable fairy photo! I think it was a good thing for my bank account that my second was a boy too. Not only have we started with more stuff (we went really gender neutral with a lot of things for my daughter), I'm in a "let's declutter everything" mood and for some reason that doesn't go well with girls that have so. much. stuff! My son will definitely not go without, but I'm not as tempted with him to buy all the cute headbands, skirts, and shoes. He'll still have great things, but boys have a more limited selection. Plus it'll be nice to not have twice as many Barbie shoes to step on. :) Just gotta watch out for all the Legos!

  19. I have been having the worst anxiety too about having a baby. I lay in bed multiple times throughout the night worrying and panicking about whats about to come out of me and never leave me haha. I have wanted to be a mom my whole entire life, seriously nothing more than be a mom, and now it is happening and I am like oh shit, why am I doing this and what am I doing? I am so overwhelmed by it all and seriously dont know why I did this to myself. Ugh.
