On a whim I decided to change up my bedroom, actually I think Pinterest happened and I saw this polka dot stencil from Cutting Edge Stencils.
I repainted my entire bedroom in Sherwin Williams Monorail Silver the day before {well I actually paid my brother to come and do it, hahaha} and stenciled with SW Rhinestone on a Sunday afternoon. I have to say this is by far the easiest stencil I've used! Lining it up was a cinch and you didn't really need to worry about it being super straight because they are circles. Both walls took me about 2 hours, even with a busy toddler 'helping' :) I love when Sherwin Williams has sales, I got both paints for 40% off.
I took out the shelf I had here, all it did was collect junk, and made it into a jewelry area.
Super easy jewelry organizer.
I may need another one of these, just a frame {Michael's} with some screen and E6000.
I changed out my curtains for some silk brocade ones from Linen N Things. Apparently they are still open, online only.
A naked wall! EEK. I hate blank spaces if you couldn't tell. I can't decide what I want here, I do have a large peacock out in the garage.....
I kinda want some fresh bedding, but I'm having a hard time finding something I love as much as my Circle Quilt Set from West Elm.
Y'all I'm obsessed with rugs. Like a lot. One day I found Rugs USA and I'm pretty sure I keep them in business. Maybe next week I'll do a post about all my fun colorful rugs :) Get on their mailing list, never pay full price, they have amazing sales!
No room is complete with out some yummy scentsy burning!
You can also check out the very first Cutting Edge Stencil I used in my dining room!

ReplyDeleteLove love love this room! We have very similar design taste! I love color and whimsy! You hit the nail on the head with this room! My hubby always questions my decorating ideas. I get "really honey?" To which I always reply "just wait and see. You'll love it!" I'm glad we have hubbys that let us decorate as we wish! Lol
ReplyDeleteGreat job! My mom was just telling me she found a tip on Pinterest that for your scentsy you can actually use Downy Unstoppables to burn in them. She just tried it and said it worked great. I just bought some to use on my laundry cause one of the firefighters Jeremy works with told him they work great. Even just using it on your laundry makes your house smell real good
ReplyDeleteCome give my new house some inspiration! I love the color and the beautiful curtains!!!! I am jealous of your creativity!
ReplyDeleteSO fun! i love the polka dots!
ReplyDeleteGosh, I would love to be 1/10 as stylish and good with decorating as you are! I have been living in my house for a year and a half and JUST painted/decorated our front living room last week... yikes.
ReplyDeletethis is much more serene than before, and it definitely suits a bedroom. especially with 2 little ones, you'll need a space to relax. love the curtains and the wall color.

ReplyDeleteHey Megan! I am wanting to do the 10 day clense with Holly and Melanie and heard you are the girl to go to! I have a girlfriend here at home who is going to do it with me so I need to know how to order. Also which is better, the peach or citrus?? I stay away from high content citrus stuff (horrid heartburn) but if it tastes better, I'll just buy more tums! Anywho, I love those bedroom colors...totally need that for my oldest daughter's room. My preteen is digging silver these days!!
