A Day in Our Life

I like to do these types of posts every once in a while so I can look back and see how my life has changed.

4:31 my alarm goes off. I have a thing about always setting it to an odd time. I keep it charging in the kitchen so I HAVE to get out bed to turn it off. Getting up this early is harder now that I'm pregnant. I miss being a morning person!!

4:45 Dressed and eating pre-gym food. Usually a spark and peanut butter toast, if I'm in a hurry I grab a protein bar. I lay out some clothes for Twlight Sparkle, it's stressful for Oliver to pick a matching outfit so I try to help when I can.

5:00 I'm out the door and headed to the gym which is a 20 minute commute.

5:30 - 6:45 I spend about a hour or so kicking ass at the gym. Some days I do classes other days I just do my own thing.

somedays I have to snack before I even get dressed.

6:45-7:20 I shower and get ready for work while at the gym. Sometimes I have to blog {usually during WOW when I've taped the moves or taken pics} while I get ready. Thankful for personal hotspots on my phone!

love love love love this stuff!
7:25-8:00 I commute to work, I hate traffic during the school year!

8:00-12:30 I work and try to answer emails. I usually eat breakfast again when I get to work while catching up on CNN. Typically a bowl of cereal or fruit and cottage cheese.

12:30-2:00 Lunch can vary, it depends if I have errands to run or Dr appointments. I usually eat at my desk before I go, sometimes I go with co-workers, but not often. Lots of days you can find me car napping!

2:00-5:30 I struggle to stay awake, haha. Oh yeah, I work too! If possible I write out my blog posts and email them to myself because I can't get on blogger at work.

5:30-6:30 I pick up Twilight Sparkle from Oma's house and we head home {twice a week we have dance/soccer and don't get home until 7:45}. I spend the first 15 minutes in the car prying conversation out of her, usually she tells me she's done talking mostly because she hasn't napped and always falls asleep 15 minutes before we hit the house.

6:30-7:00 I change into jammies {so does TS, usually something of mine} and pack my clothes for the next day. I usually fix Madison something to eat because she's STARVING she says. No idea where the drama comes from! I pack two bags at the beginning of the week, the dark pink one is all my hair/makeup products and I leave it in the the all week. The other is my clothes which I bring in a switch out nightly along with a fresh towel and water bottle for the next day.

loves my jammies!

7:00-7:30 Make dinner, pick up, other random Mom stuff. Oh yeah, check the mail for 'surprises' that I ordered myself online.

Love me some DSW online sales :)
7:30-8:00 Oliver and I eat dinner and clean up, he usually doesn't finish working until after 7 sometimes  later depending on if he works from home or not. I wish we could all sit down as a family and eat, but it just doesn't happen with our schedules.

8:00-9:00 We veg out on the couch and watch 'family' shows. Like America's Next Top Model :) haha. Oliver loves that show! Sometimes I'll bring my laptop over and blog, depends how tired I am.

Both my kids love their nightly milk from pretty cups.
900-9:30 brush teeth, take our vitamins, and watch a sitcom while laying in bed. Right now we are watching 'Til Death which is actually pretty funny.

  10. I'm tired now from just reading what all you accomplish by 7am! haha I would have the same commute to the gym (if I went). If the hubs was home in the morning (he leaves at 4am for work) I would so do what you do. (Well I tell myself that:) You are an AMAZING inspiration! I found you through Mama Laughlin and you guys make my days brighter!

  14. Oh my gosh, you are literally super woman. When I first started my weight loss journey in 2011 I though I was SO dedicated because I made lunch everyday and I worked out as soon as I got home...

You put me to shame, lol!

I have no excuse now after I have my baby girl in November. I am a new stay at home wife, soon to be SAHM, & if you can do all that WHILE working and doing after school activities, I can do it!!!

I am glad you pregnancy is going well, I had a horrible first tri and second half of the second tri! I am 33 weeks now and READY to have this baby lol!

  16. I love these types of posts! We don't ever get to eat as a whole family either and I always feel guilty for that so it's nice to know we're not the only ones!

  17. Fantastic post! Honestly I do not know where you get that energy, but kudos!

I remember when I used to wake up early (not as early as you) and it really makes your day so much more organised.

Do you ever sleep in on the weekend, in between your morning runs and chores? I hope you get some sleep in time!
