SkinnyMeg's DietBet: Get Fit for Fall!


Fall is right around the bend, HALLELUJAH, I can. Not. Wait. I’m ready for leggings, scarves, boots, and jackets. Ok, pretty much an entire new wardrobe J 



With summer wrapping up and everyone back to their normal routines {hello teachers I’m talking to you!} I thought it would be a perfect time to motivate ourselves to lose those last few vacation pounds we’ve been carrying around.

Months ago I set up this Diet Bet, not knowing I would get pregnant, but knowing this is the around the time I like to buckle down and get healthy before the Holidays hit. DietBet isn’t a diet or weight loss plan. You won’t be getting a food or exercise plan to follow, and you won’t be expected to attend any weekly meetings. DietBet is simply an incentive and means of accountability.

Now, I love the idea of a ‘group’ challenge so I will be hosting a weekly link up for recipes {healthy ones, no yummy mouthwatering Pinterest desserts please} and I will also start a {secret} Facebook group for everyone participating for the four weeks where we can chat and share with each other! I will do four recipe link ups each with different themes so we can all get some great food ideas because we know that's where most of us struggle. 

How it works:
Click here to join the game and pay $25 to join in. The game is 28 days long (4 weeks) and the goal is to lose 4% of your body weight in that time. If, at the end of 4 weeks, you have lost 4% of your body weight, you will split the pot with any other participants that have also hit the goal. That’s only 1% a week, very doable!

How do I weigh in?


You will be required to submit two different photos for your weigh-in. You must be completely honest with this process (DietBet will further investigate any weight loss patterns that seem “suspicious.”) And isn’t the point to actually lose weight here? Statistics have also shown that 90% of DietBet participants have lost weight!

  1. I did one of these the beginning of summer and lost it all in 2 weeks and then gained some back the last 2. Not how you want to go about it to win! I will really think about this. I'm already joining Amber's #GYST challenge so this may just be the extra umph I need.

  7. Ahhh! This sounds like so much fun! I'm going on vacation for an entire week of that contest, or else I would've already lost 2 pounds peeing myself with excitement. Maybe next time :)

    I did a DietBet after new years. It was fun! I have lost 30lbs so far, and have about another 30 to go....so excited for the extra motivation!!!! THANKS FOR LINING THIS UP!
