Week 8 went a little better than 7, I had my first appointment with my new OB. Love her, and not just because she called me small and gave me Zofran. We talked about VBAC's and C-Sections and I think I've made a decision, but we still have 8 months to go and I've been known to change my mind, I like that I actually have a choice though. I take half a Zofran in the morning and it seems to be helping, I just worry about the side effects {constipation} so I'm very careful to take my double dose of Probiotic and my Fiber Drink. I was even reading that taking a probiotic during pregnancy will help the babies digestive tract, less gas!
I spent Saturday taking 3 virgins to Canton. In the heat. I actually didn't think it was too bad, I found some cute stuff, and had a great time hanging out with these ladies! I may have come home with a duck head, metal, not stuffed!
Sunday I took Twilight Sparkle for her first pedi. She LOVED it, she's in the stage where all she does is talk, talk, talk, talk, so it was funny to hear her talking the ladies ear off about Daddy, ponies, and random stories. haha. I'm pretty sure the lady didn't understand half of what was being said. She said she love the 'potion' they rubbed on her legs, hahaha.
That night we celebrated our anniversary and my Mom's birthday by having dinner at Hillstone. I wore this gorgeous dress from Pink Slate Boutique, I absolutely felt gorgeous in it, which is hard to do during my first trimester! It's also on sale, can't beat a good deal!
Love,
SkinnyMeg
I got to the gym 5 times last week, cardio is the hardest for me to do right now. It was amazing how fast my body slowed down, I get out of breath quickly, and my heart rate gets up faster. I'm keeping it between 155-160 for my cardio, I make sure to stop frequently to drink lots of water, and I'm usually only doing about 30 minutes in a gym session. I usually break that up into a one mile warmup run, and two 10 minute HIIT sessions.
Headband is from Brady Bands |
I'm still lifting weights, but I've lowered my numbers by about 25%. I'm still doing all my moves, burpees, squats, lunges, jumping jacks, etc. I just can't do as many or do them as fast, I have a new preggo pace I work out at and that's OK. My DR said if I did it before and I can do it now. I'm not trying to build new muscle I'm just trying to desperately hold on to the ones I have ;) I've had a lot of 'oh, should you be doing that while pregnant' comments. I get it. I felt that way during my first pregnancy, but now I'm more educated on living healthy and guess what: EXERCISE IS GOOD FOR YOUR BABY. My kids going to come out an amazingly strong heartbeat and a kick ass nervous system because Momma didn't lay on the couch for 9 months. I'm just sorry I didn't learn this before my first pregnancy!
I love these letters on of them got for their theater room! Kinda makes me wish I actually had a theater room to decorate ;)
My shoes are from Canton and hers are from Dillard's. |

You look gorgeous in that dress. I hope you had a great anniversary. We will have to get the girls together and all 4 of us go for pedi's sometime :)
ReplyDeleteGo girl! I love that you are still working out during your pregnancy. Inspirational! You looked gorgeous in that dress!
ReplyDeleteOohh, that cinema sign is awesome!!
ReplyDeleteLove that dress! Seeing as you were so totally on point with your sports bra recommendation (love my moving comfort Juno!), what strapless bra do you own? I hardly ever buy dresses that require them because the girls are never happy in a strapless bra :(
ReplyDeleteI was wondering if you could share a lite bit about snacks you like to eat during pregnancy, especially that would help with someone not feeling that great. I just found out I am pregnant and although I am not getting sick I don't feel very good most of the time. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteYour labor will be so so so much easier when you are in shape and you will literally sweat the pounds you gained off. I lost 30 lbs before getting pregnant and kept up working out 3 times a week. I had a hard and long labor that my OB said would have probably been worse and landed me in a C-Section had I not been is such great shape!! People have no filter when it comes to pregnant women! You are such an inspiration! :)

ReplyDeleteDid you stop by the Sprinkled ATM for a cupcake after dinner? By the way, you look beautiful in that dress! Pregnancy looks good on you. Keep up the good work with exercise, love that you are wanting to stay healthy throughout this pregnancy. Listen to your own body, not everyone else's advice.
ReplyDeleteThat dress is so stinking cute!!! You look fantastic!
ReplyDeleteSounds like your made a good decision in choosing a OB. Totally commend you for keeping up working out while pregnant, and doing it in such a smart way. You work out know what your limit is, and don’t try to overdo it Heck I am not pregnant, and have hard time getting motivated to work out. That is why when I see a pic of you working out I am like OK if she is pregnant and working out I really have no good excuse to not work out, and just need to get my booty to the gym lol.
ReplyDeleteI love your pink wedges in the last pic. I too have lot of love for pink.
ReplyDeleteI think you look very tiny. It does NOT seem you are the same Meg as before!
Kudos to you on your hard work & determination.

You are still looking awesome as usual! So glad you are keeping your workouts going through you pregnancy. I feel better about pregnancy the second time around knowing I CAN do the same.
ReplyDeleteI have a love/hate relationship with zofran. I beg my doctor for it every time (or else I'm hurling non stop)--but when I get it, I have to maintain the perfect balance with (ahem) colace or something like that because HOLY SIDE EFFECTS. I'm starting to wonder if Lucy is so hardcore b/c I was so much more active/fit with her than with Emeline. HA. Beware, that second kid can give gray hairs ;) hehe.
ReplyDeleteI love reading that you are considering a VBAC! I'm hoping to have one when we have our second kid :) Looks like y'all had a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteI love that dress. Pregnancy looks great on you!
ReplyDeleteYou are so adorable and so is Twilight Sparkle! LOVE THE CINEMA SIGN AND AM SO JEALOUS!!! I want to go to Canton with you!!
ReplyDeleteLove the info on how you're working out while growing a baby :) when were ready for our family to grow I defiantly want to stick to a work out schedule so it's cool seeing how you're doing it!
ReplyDeleteI took Zofran for my entire pregnancy. I took it at night before I went to bed to avoid being sick in the morning. Just a suggestion.
ReplyDeleteYou look so purrttyyy, Meg! And I am going thrifting next weekend. I also want to make a scrabble board for my wall. Is that dumb? Too bad! LOL
ReplyDeleteYou look radiant! So damn cute ALWAYS!! thanks for sharing your boutique links, you always find the best boutiques! LOVE the Canton flipflops and your pedis with Twilight Sparkle!

ReplyDeleteMy sisters OB told her as soon as she found out she was pregnant to not do the Just Dance game on the Wii because sometimes my sister would sweat and her breathing was harder...because she was exercising. I thought that was ridiculous!! I'm happy to see you still working out and listening to your body! Love the dress BTW!
ReplyDeleteLooking awesome skinny mama! Thanks for your awesome posts. they are appreciated. i'm praying that you have the pregnancy/delivery/baby of your dreams! {hugs}
ReplyDeleteIn support of working out while prego, a family friend of mine is an OB/GYN and a runner. She literally ran (including long runs) until about a week or two before she gave birth. I think it's great you're continuing with your workout regimen.
ReplyDeleteMegan I am so happy for you and you look gorgeous! I'm also a C-section mama and I found ICAN (International Cesarean Awareness Network) to be super helpful. There's an ICAN of North Texas Facebook Group that is private and a huge wealth of info, full of CS moms, doulas, midwives, etc. They know all the details on doctors, hospitals, what to do and how to cope with whatever your choice may be. Good luck mama!
ReplyDeleteI've been taking Zofran too and didn't realize constipation was a side effect!!!!! Now it's all making sense. There is my problem. I'm also taking a probiotic too, but uhhhhh yeah not working so much. I'm just basically feeling like crap all around hahahaha. :) I loved your post though. You give me hope :)
ReplyDeleteohh i wish i felt good after 1/2 a zofran!! I am taking 2-3 a day and STILL receiving no comfort :( I'm 13 weeks now and it's been like this since week 7, FML! And constipation hasnt been that bad at all. If it's been a few days I take some mirilax and wait for it to work ;)
ReplyDeleteAnd I love the part you wrote about T.S chatting away to her pedicure lady! My dad has always told me I had "verbal diarrhea" so it sounds like T.S. does too ;) So cute.
