Saturday I did something I never do, I skipped the gym. Oliver had gotten home super late after a week away for work; we all slept in and then went out for breakfast. Veggie filled omelet for me and bacon for the kid. She weirdly loves bacon and I never cook it at home, so she always ask for it if we go out. She's also my official splenda girl.
That day we meet up with our friends for some sun and pool time.
This is my first summer working and we sure are going to miss hitting the pool 3 or 4 times a week. She's still going to school twice a week and I also enrolled her in a dance class and soccer so I'm sure she'll stay busy.
Twilight Sparkle and I took a nap together and then did a little shopping at Marshall's.
I found this beach bag I had to have for my vacay to Gulf Shores later this month. Twilight Sparkle is now at the age where she wants to shop too and then beg for stuff that's 'awesome Mommy'. haha. Just like her Mama :)
My fertility drugs were overnighted to me on Saturday. Good news {finally!} was that my insurance covered all of it, I'm so thankful! They showed me how to mix the liquid and powder, but I forgot and after two syringes I decided to wait until I got home and have Oliver help me. Yeah, well he was 3 beers in by that time and no way I was letting him stick me. I freaked out for about 15 minutes and just couldn't stick myself. Texted a neighbor {who wasn't home} and finally just did it. It didn't really hurt, pulling the trigger the first time was the hardest part.
Sunday I woke up to a thunderstorm so I went back to sleep for a bit and then made myself a nice big breakfast.
I asked Oliver to go to the grocery without me, but he's all 'oh it's more fun if we both go'. Fineeeeee.
It is nice because he does most of the work, I just really hate Wal Mart on Sunday. Thankfully the rain kept the crazies away.
Came home and went for a run, I really wanted to try out my new Mizuno Wave Runner 16's. The humidity killed me, but the shoes were awesome. Super comfy and really lightweight which I loved!
I did 8 miles and had to bust out my Froggs Toggs for the last 3 miles. I'm so not ready for summer, I have to get acclimated to running in the heat because I'm doing the Too Hot to Handle 15k in July. It's likely to be in the high 90's.
I eventually stopped sweating long enough to get cleaned up and throw on this lovely frock from Sugar Love Boutique for a baby shower.
Then I napped with my sweetie....again. She's just so dang cuddly!
We also welcomed a new member to our family.
Rainbow Dash :)
Limited Edition at Build A Bear, glad Mimi was paying, 50 freaking bucks! I mean it's cute and all {it plays music}, now you know why kids are expensive!
How can you deny that cute face??
Happy Monday!
sounds like the sweetest weekend ever!
ReplyDeletelooks like you and Twilight Sparkle had a great weekend together!!! I cant believe you are doing a 15k in the summer, you are crazy!!! I need to run outside some this summer, but I am betting I hit the treadmill more often than not... got to start training for my first half in October!
ReplyDeleteBuild a Bear kills me...I wish you could just pay to make a bear and then not take it home with you. That's all my kids want to do anyways! Props to you on sticking yourself, I know that couldn't have been easy!!!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter is a bacon girl too, she would eat it with every meal if I would let her.... Her favorite is if I make it for her then put it in a zip lock bag so she can munch on it while we run errands.
ReplyDeleteGood to hear about the Mizunos, I've been thinking about getting some.
Love the pic of you three at the pool. Too cute! I'm going to totes miss pool time with y'all. I will be super lonely all by myself :(

ReplyDeleteI wish I could get my husband to go shopping, but we'd be BROKE if he did! I can shop for a week and a half on $50 for both of us, but I sent him to the store for a frozen pizza and 3 oranges last night and he came home with a bill of $22.57. Not sure how that even happens!
ReplyDeleteFun weekend. Fun times!
ReplyDeleteWe totally splurged and bought rainbow dash too! :)

After 3 rounds of IVF, I finally figured out that it hurt much less when I gave myself the injections! Praying it works this time!
ReplyDeleteYay for sleeping in and breakfast with the fam! Doesn't get any better.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad your insurance covered your injectables. Keeping you in my prayers.
What a fun weekend! Madison's pigtails are killing me with cuteness! Um...you're going to me in my state for your vacation just so you know. I'm dying for a Gulf Shores trip, but unfortunately we'll probably have to skip out on it this year :( Proud of you for shooting yourself. I'm all anxious just thinking about that first shot.
ReplyDeleteShe is so stinking cute - I have the harest time saying no to amelia, it's bad :) And good job on the run - thanks for the link to those frog thingys!
