Painting a Chevron Wall with One Measurement

Good Monday morning! I had a great weekend, I chevroned up a boring bathroom and got in some great workouts.
That's pretty much all I need in life :) hahaha.

Let's start with the bathroom shall we? Brandi's husband was going out of town so we figured that would be the perfect time to put some happiness in her beige and boring master bath.

{Before}

{During}

 I know this LOOKS hard, but it's really not. All you need is ONE measurement, 2.83 inch tape {only found at Lowe's}, and cardboard.

I even made you a video showing how easy it was to do, we did 3 walls in her bathroom and it took a Saturday afternoon.

{After}

The colors we used were Behr Kiwi Squeeze and Martha Stewart Talc.

The curtains outside the bathtub just look freaking amazing, they are clearanced at Target.
You can hop over to Brandi's blog in a bit to see more pics, you know she's not posting at 5 am like I am :) haha.

Sunday produced some seriously gorgeous weather. Like 70 and sunny.
Sometimes Texas weather is good to us, just not usually June-October.

Soccer season started again.

I weigh about the same as last season, but I'm pretty sure I look thinner.

Thank you weight training.

I LOVE playing soccer, it's aggressive and makes me feel young again, but DUDE my ass and sides hurt like no one's freaking business today. Whew.

The husband usually comes to my first game and afterwards we hang out and go to lunch.

Miss M went to church with Papa, she's not really into sitting for 2 hours and watching me play.
She just begs to go play on the playground the entire time.

We stopped by DSW to get Oliver some new running shoes, his commitment comes and goes for working out, usually the closer to summer we get the more motivated he is to workout :)

Don't forget Wednesday is our linkup for Cleanse Recipes!! This is a great chance to get a head start on your meal planning for the 10 days and if you still need to order I think there may be time, so contact Kristen and get on board!

Happy Monday!

  12. I have been thinking about painting a room in my house and this may have inspired my inner Picasso and I may have a new weekend project. I love the chevron and am impressed on how quickly it went.
    I get nervous about picking the wrong color and hating it or that I will be sick of it in a month.
    I love your blog and have definitely taken some tips from it on my own blog (20somethingbusinesswoman.com if you ever get a chance!)
    Thanks and keep up the good work!

  18. Oh my gosh Megan!!! You definitely look thinner in this year's soccer picture. You looked great in last year's too. Thank you for sharing with us that your weight is about the same...just shows how much toning up can help and what a difference it can make...it's not always the number on the scale. Again....THANK YOU!! Just what I needed to hear today...you have NO IDEA!!

  20. Girl you DEF look smaller in your soccer picture from this year vs last! You legs look awesome! Also just wanted to say a big thank you for including your bikini pics. I've lost 75lbs and am often very hard on myself for what my body looks like now, but I have to remember that it's not all bad. I often think that people are judging me and looking at me like I'm still very overweight (like they know what I look like under my clothes too). But seeing your pics, I didn't even think twice about how beautiful and funny you are (in your blog/instagram) or have any negative thoughts looking at your body. You're awesome Miss Meg!

  22. lol- I've been stalking your blog all weekend-- girl you're so spunky :)!!
    Tell me about Spark- does it give you the jitters or anything weird? I'm a bit hesitant to try it without knowing.

  23. I love the chevron walls!! I already told my husband that when we get our house I'm doing it everywhere haha and he actually didn't seem to mind. You and brandy inspire me so much and let me know that as long as I bust ass and eat healthier that I can achieve my weight loss goals! My little sister has lost 50+- pounds by working hard and eating healthy and I also have a best friend that lost 80+- pounds doing the same, so I know if you four can do it then I damn sure can!! I love your blog, pictures, videos, and keeks so keep it up!!!

  25. I am over from Mama Laughlin's blog and I'm so happy I found yours! Can't wait to read more.

    How do you like the Spark supplements. We have a sales guy here that sells them at my office and I've been curious about how well they work / keep you energized.

    My biggest issue with working out, isn't the workout it's getting up the energy to do it. Trust me I've tried the... give it 5 mins and a warm up and you'll be ready but after along days work, I'm just not as amped as I should be. I've tried mornings and it's a bit better but I feel like an extra push might be just what i need to make it through.

    Keep up the great work, can't wait to read more.
