Still No Baby and Random Things. Chevron Included.

Let's start with my non-baby situation. For those of you who don't know we been trying for another baby for the last year, after a few months I realized my cycles weren't right. I went to the gyno who put me on Clomid. A few months later I still wasn't knocked up and after seeing the PA she FINALLY put me on progesterone.

To get specific, I was ovulating every month, but I was getting my period less than 7 days later, which indicates a luteal phase defect. The clomid was supposed to help me ovulate better? stronger? IDK. The progesterone is what I thought I needed from the get go, but you know there is a process to this.
I'm really really hoping this month works because I'm fearful of taking any more clomid, that shit can give you twins. They already said they shouldn't up my dose because I had 2 large follicles {which could turn into 2 eggs} this month. I'm pretty sure I can't handle two more, one is pushing it. Just being honest. I'm just tired of thinking about it honestly and WAITING WAITING WAITING.

The progesterone makes me super sleepy and SO FREAKING HUNGRY. Ugh. I almost thought about skipping the gym, SHOCKING, I know.
But I went and guess what, I felt better after. Shocker.

I know I look like I'm going to die, but that's how you know you went hard.
Then I went home.... for a relaxing bath.

Poor Miss M wasn't feeling well so how could I say no to her getting in with me?

She's on her 5th ear infection in the last 6 months, which means 1 more and we have to talk tubes.

I have to say she is the best patient, even after her shots last time she loves going to the doctor!

My Ipsy Bag came, I was a little sad it didn't have any cosmetics this time.
Until I used the eyeshadow brush, LOVE, plus it's available at Walgreen's.
You can never go wrong with Big Sexy products, you know us Texas girls love our big hair.

I'm going to leave you with a little chevron love, I ordered this dress from Southern Tots FOREVER ago and it finally came.

You have no idea how happy it makes me that this child will let me put big bows on her again.
Love.

  3. Just have to say that your hair is sooo adorable in that picture of you at the gym. You make me want to cut my hair short and sassy. But I'm growing my hair out for probably the last time and so I've gotta stick to my guns!

  4. Ugh. I'm sorry. I know how hard it is to want to get preg and not, even on fertility meds. I did Chlomid and finally got pregnant with twins (but one didn't make it). Good luck!

  6. No need to apologize about being leary of twins. I have a friend who took Clomid and this week she finds out if it's twins and she is freaked out! LOL Good luck...I'll say a prayer. Love the Chevron.

  7. I hope everything lines up for you and there is a baby on the way soon.

My cycles were very long, when we tried for my daughter in 2010, I was finally put on clomid and lucky 1. we got pregnant and 2. it wasnt with twins :)

I told Adam, I really dont want to use it this next time around because of the twins risk. But you know.. we'll see what happens when we get there.

We will start trying in the summer and I've been on my pill every since having Leah, due to my doctor's recommendation that if I got off my cycles could go long again and then we would back to clomid again.

Anyways, probably too much information. But, I can totally related and I'm hoping for the best for you!

Love the chevron dress for Miss M! Your top is cute too!

  9. Sorry about the no baby situation. I've been there, twice. I will say I'm grateful I've never been on clomid though, I've heard it's an emotional roller coaster in a pill.

  13. Twins aren't that bad :) I had them!! haha! I survive...(MOST DAYS) and a few bottles...i mean glasses of wine later :) ha!!!

as for Madison's ear infections...have you taken her to a chiropractor? I have had many friends who have tried tubes, they didn't work, and ended up with the Chiro as a last resort and ended up working!!! They bring their son once a month and hasn't had an ear infection for over a year!!! (just a thought!)

  18. Poor girl. I got nothing for ya in the baby issue. I hope and pray that you get your wish. I can say that I've known friends that were on clomid and they only had one bambino. Lov'n the chevron and hoping miss Madison's ears get better. Nothing worse than a sick mini! Thanks for the update!

  19. Ear tubes are the best. My son was getting an ear infection every month for about 6 months. Got the tubes and its been 7 months without a single infection! Its a must and they r temporary not like they will be in there forever.

  20. Megan...is Ipsy like Burchbox? Did you really get all that for just $10 a month???? That seems way better than the birchbox!

  21. So sorry still no luck on the baby front. Give B6 a try, it supposedly helps move ovulation back to help correct the luteal phase defect.

Glad you're on progesterone, that'll help too. I had to stay on it my first trimester so baby would stick around.

And I love the chevron goodness, I'm obsessed too.

  22. Oh honey. It will come - those drugs are so hard, I know.

  23. Girl, between you and Lora I'm sending out all the fertile vibes that I've got. I'm hoping that they work soon!

We are on another ear infection as well. Those things suck ass and I'm ready for her to grow out of them already.

  32. Hang in there girl! I had to go the clomid route too- that crap gave me hot flashes! Ugh! Not fun...but I got another baby out of the deal so not too shabby!

  33. Keeping my fingers crossed that you get knocked up soon :)

  34. Have you tried a chiro for little miss? If something isn't aligned right it can push the bones up and keep the ears from draining properly. Anywho, just a thought. :)

  35. Fingers crossed to getting knocked up:) And OMG I just love that dress:) Happy Friday!

  36. You will get that baby! For both of my pregnancies I had to do Clomid and progesterone...the waiting and wondering was the worst, but all turned out well with no twins:)

  38. I'm glad I wasn't being a whiny b-word and you were disappointed, too with the ipsy bag. I signed up for it after I read your last post. Hey, I was bored at work, and $10 a month was chump change. HA! (little did I know that I would be unemployed when the first bag got to me... lol). ANYWAYS! Hopefully the next one is better!! Good luck with the bebe. :)

  40. I had trouble TTC too. And I found it such a lonely time. So happy that you can "talk" about it with your readers.
I too was on a regular dose of clomid for 1.5 years. Can you say crazy lady? We finally left the first dr. and gave up. Then we found a BOARD CERTIFIED Reproductive Endocrinologist. Hallelujah! The first thing he did was put me on the pill to get rid of any cysts for 2 or 3 weeks, can't remember. Then he put me on a double dose of clomid and 6 weeks later I was preg.
I know everyone is different, but this is what worked for us.
Women from all over the world come to Dr. Foulk. He is amazing! Check him out http://www.nevadafertility.com/nevada/.
    Take care!

  41. How long did you workout to burn 1400 calories?!!? That's amazing.

  42. Lots and LOTS of baby dust to you! We are about to have our third and I had some issues getting pregnant with him last summer. Found out my thyroid was the culprit and got put back on synthroid for hypothyroidism and bam! After loosing weight doing the insanity workouts and eating clean and jumping back on that medicine... it happened almost immediately.

I'm literally chucking baby dust at you right now from my laptop haha. From one Meg to the other! XOXO Good luck!
