Freaking Out

Y'all I'm starting to freak out.
The day I thought would NEVER come is only 3 weeks and 3 days away.

I may have a countdown going on :) While I am excited, I swear if one more person asks me the dreaded question I may scream.
"So, what do you want to do?"

I know I'm graduating and I'm old......er than 21, but I still can not answer this question.
I don't know what I want to be when I grow up.
I want something I don't hate going to everyday.
I want to work with people.
I picked a very general degree {Business Administration} so I would have options, but maybe that's bad? Kinda like when I walk in to DSW and I'm overwhelmed with the amount of shoes so I leave with nothing because I can't decide.

I'm scared of change and things are about to change a LOT.
I haven't been on an interview in years, am I still as awesome as I was before?

My #OOTD I've been cheating on y'all with Instagram, I believe I may even like it more than FB!

I'm working on my resume and putting myself out there.
It's hard.

I keep telling myself that every major change that has come my way has ended up working out for the best.
There have been some major shakeups in the last several years and I've come out better because of them, so I don't need to get my panties in a wad over this.

Plus I get to bling up my graduation hat :)

Hmmmm, so many choices!

Happy Tuesday!

  1. Congratulations!! That's a fantastic accomplishment. I am finishing up my Master's next week with my comprehensive final exam. I'm getting anxious about it. Good luck with the final weeks of classes. Megan

  2. Graduation totally stressed me out! I'm sure you will find something amazing to do and life will settle into place. I chose public admin for my masters because it was so broad - and I felt like you: overwhelmed! Talk to your guidance counselor or head of department, maybe they can help you refine your job search.

  3. Ummm where did you get the cutest shorts ever? I'm going to look for a similar pair tomorrow! Also you need to take me shopping so I can just buy all the same things as you !

  5. It can be scary out there! As a business admin major myself, I totally get it!!

Don't shy away from temp agencies to get a foot in the door. It's a good way to get your feet wet to see what you might like in the business world. If you ever want interview or resume help, hit me up on Facebook!! That's what I've been doing the last 6 years!

Your outfit looks fab! I'd hire you in a second!!

  6. That's so exciting! Can't wait to see what you do with your hat. And of course you're still as awesome as you once were - why is that a question? Interviews are always scary when it's been a significant amount of time since your last, but once you sit down and start you'll be fine!

  7. Good luck in all you do! I know it's scary. I myself have been a stay-at-home mom, student, and gone back to work, so I know it's a hard transition. But after all you've been through I'm sure you can take on anything!!

  11. I love the shorts and tights look, so cute! I wish I could wear shorts to work, but apparently they don't fit into the "business casual" dress code. Lame.

Congrats on your graduation! And don't worry too much about not knowing what you want to be. You may end up lucking into a job that you love, but never even thought of!

  12. Congratulations!! I am in the same boat. I got my BA degree in Psychology and I don't know what I want to be when I grow up either! It is tough out there. I have been actively applying to jobs for 3 or 4 months now with no luck! Or the jobs that want you don't want to pay you enough!

Best of Luck on your job hunt! I hope you find something that suits you and your family and that you love!

  14. Congrats on graduation coming up! You'll find something! It took a while to figure out which area of nursing I wanted to be in but after a few months I found what I love and really enjoy it! Just don't settle for a job you don't love, it's not worth it! Good luck!

  15. Aww, I had so much fun blinging my graduation cap! I did a tiger paw out of rhinestones. :-) & I have to recommend you check out a career in insurance. If you like chasing sales, life and health is a good route. If you like for it to come to you (yes, please!), property & casualty is a good route. If someone had told me when I graduated that this is what I'd be doing and actually like it? I would have laughed at them. I get to wear what I want (within reason), my hours are 9-5 (I can't stand places that make you come in at 7:30 and stay late!), I have the opportunity for commission, and I deal with clients (but also get to hide in my office on days that I don't feel like seeing anyone). Good luck in your decision! I know you'll be awesome at whatever you choose!

  16. Yay! Congratulations lady! Whatever you decide to do you will ROCK because you are so effing awesome! I am also afraid of going back to work in a few years (and after some refresher HR courses of course, cause you know I'll have forgotten all my sh*t by then!) I love your outfit, those shorts are hawt! I wish I had a reason to wear winter shorts...but alas, I don't right now. You always look so cute and put together - love it!

  17. I graduated and have been working for three years and I'm still trying to answer that questions. It's something you figure out as you go a long I think, or I hope, since I don't have it figured out yet :) You are even more awesome than you were before, I'm sure great opportunities are headed your way! Congrats grad!!!!!! HUGE accomplishment :)

  19. I have been reading your blog for a while now, and I absolutely love it! 27. Life is all about changes & you've done well so far with becoming a wife, having a beautiful little girl, losing weight & now graduating. Besides you're always changing things around your house. Which is why I can't wait to be a home owner one day so I can do the same :)
You'll be great at what ever life has to offer you, good luck & have fun.
LOVE THAT OUTFIT too cute!!!! :)
