Nook re-do

I finally am done with my kitchen nook! It was a long time getting finished and I would love to blame Miss Madison, but it was really all the homework I had to do. :)

So! It all started with this:

Those would be the tiny fingerprints of one cute baby who somehow found a BLACK glittered clip.

Next I found this awesome bench HALF OFF at Canton.  Never pass up a good deal!

Well I just wasn't in love with the pink anymore.

Umm ignore the mess on the counter (this is real life people!).   I found Bead-board Wallpaper on clearance at Lowe's.  I love this stuff! Looks great and it was easy to put up.  You can paint it too!

I painted it a similar color, but in a washable finish. No more dirty fingerprints here!

I've also always wanted a black door.  I really wanted to do the front door, but decided to practice on the back door in case I messed it up.

Doesn't it look so much better black!?

New curtains and I got another piece for above the bench (it was my lucky day at Canton!).

I have a new spot to show off all my pretty glittery bottles.

Like my M? My sweet Mommy made it for me!

I love it!

My husband liked it too, but warned me to "not bring home anymore shabby chic crap" ohhhh you just gotta love men!

I'm linking up to Woo-Hoo Wednesday over at Marla's blog.  Go ahead and check her out she has the best refreshments!

  1. Thank you so much for your patience with my linky instructions. I'm finally just giving up and sitting here drinking a glass of wine. Uncle.

I love everything you've done in your home. Your husband's comment is such a crack up. MEN! Lol, they just need to learn to give in to our projects and they will be much happier *wink*!

I think I'm going to paint my front door black - our whole house is in dire need of paint. I couldn't decide between red and black and black keeps winning.

Thank you so much for linking to Woo Hoo! Wednesday!! I love everything you've done and I love the M your mom made.
